Author Pamela C.VanderGriend is both a new author and grandmother. Inspired by her first-born grandson Zachary and his forever best friend Froggie, she spent two and a half years writing Froggie in Lily Pad Kingdom. When Zachary visited, before bedtime story time was spent discussing how he and Froggie met and how they became such great forever friends. They imagined various scenarios together and the story of Froggie in Lily Pad Kingdom was just one of them. Pamela is a native Minnesotan. She attended Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota. Her family includes her husband Jim, children Jeffrey and Jennifer, Jennifer's husband Mark, and grandchildren Zachary, 4 years and Reagan 1 year.

Illusrator Bob Holton, a talented artist from Northern Wisconsin, is well known for his delightful murals in and on buildings in the Bayfield area, as well as private artwork. page from Froggie in Lily Pad KingdomHe illustrated 23 of the pictures in the book including the scenery and most of the frogs. He drew for the Children's Theaters in New York and in Chicago.
Illustrator Jennifer Trotter received her degree in Fine Art from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Her whimsical artwork has been presented by Intermedia Arts Gallery in Minneapolis and Oneota Review a literary and artistic journal. She is a member of the Graphic Artist Guild, and hopes to pursue a career in children's books. She drew ten of the illustrations for the book including the fairy, Froggie and Little Guy. She currently lives in St. Paul. She dedicates her illustrations in this book to her mother without whom they would not have been possible.
